On Thursday, you may read about Max’s and Hadyn’s on Pine/Maxine’s (really, just Maxine’s) and about a special wine-tasting dinner that I attended at Pesce.
But this week/weekend has been even MORE exciting than that (I know, can you handle it?), for instance, when I met up with Mak last night at … wait for it … Dragonfly. We hung out with Dave and Smooth in the booth, all cool-like.
Smooth said I had an obligation to support D-fly because I am Croatian (Bozich means “Christmas”) and apparently so is Smooth and a number of other employees. In fact, I had forgotten my District VIP card, which grants me access to the club, and the bouncer remembered me because of my heritage, as he, too, is Croatian.
My history with Dragonfly goes way back, and at this point is really unimportant in the scheme of things, but once upon a time, I wasn’t so welcome there. I’m happy to say that’s all in the past.
Instead, Dave let me run the lights, and I talked some shop with Mak.
