It’s been awhile since I divulged one of my food loves, and I’ve recently discovered a new local favorite in Bangkok 56.
The first time I had Thai food was about five years ago. A friend took me to Siam Garden for lunch, and I ordered Thai Basil with beef and vegetables and loved it. We would go for lunch to the same place and order the same thing once every few months. Siam Garden closed some time ago, and I had to find my Thai elsewhere.
I tasted the food at Bangkok Wok (both the former downtown location and the West Shore) and Bangkok House, which is across from the Capital City Mall, but I always missed Siam Garden.
Craving Thai food a few weeks ago, my friend, Jamie, and I decided to give the new Bangkok 56, which opened in the former location of Siam Garden, a try, and it is superb. Mimi rated them with 3.5 forks and Dillsburg blogger Fred Otteson gives them props, too.
I’ve been there three times in the last two weeks, and I have to say I’m addicted.
Even better, they’re open 7 days a week and offer take out. BYOB.
