A little love for one of my favorite Harrisburg spots – Garrason’s Tavern.
If you need a quick tutorial on the neighborhood watering hole, you can read this review of mine from June, after long-time bartender, Rob “Hollywood” Fogleman, took over as owner.
Here’s what else you need to know:
- TONIGHT is Garrason’s ever-popular 80s party. DJ Luv Rubb spins all the 80s (and early 90s) classics. Costumes are highly recommended! You won’t be the only one – I assure you. Fun, 80s-centric prizes are awarded for the best 80s representation.
- If you live on the West Shore, you’ll find Garrason’s in the Clipper Magazine advertising two dinner specials: 2 entrees, dinner salads and dessert for $39 or 2 entrees, dinner salads, any appetizer and dessert for $45. Even if you’re not on the West Shore, check the coupons out online.
- Garrason’s is great for football. They have the NFL Ticket, ESPN Gameplan and the Big Ten Network on 7 flatscreen TVs. Open at noon Saturdays and Sundays. Specials include $6 domestic pitchers; $9 Sam Adams, Troegs and Shocktop pitchers; 35 cent wings from noon to 4 p.m. and Monday nights from 5-11 p.m.
- Saturday night is the $15 Prime Rib special including a choice cut of prime rib, vegetables, choice of potato, dinner salad and your first domestic draft beer or glass of house wine.
Since yesterday’s implementation of the Pennsylvania Smoking Ban, Garrason’s is now smoke free.
