While it’s no Thanksgiving Eve, Christmastime can be bustling for the bar scene. Like the holiday that comes before it, it’s a time for old friends, family and flames to reunite over a tall, cold one.
However, many businesses choose to close for the holiday, allowing staff and managers to spend time at home with their families. For several years now, I’ve provided a list of bars and restaurants that are open for business on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The fun starts Friday night with Level 2’s annual Mad Elf Party. The night features two DJs on four turntables, including DJ Sat-One out of Philadelphia and L.A.’s Mr. Best. Troegs Brewing Company’s holiday beer, Mad Elf, is the drink of choice for the evening, available for $5 per bottle from 8 p.m. to midnight. There’s no cover charge.
