Out with Sara: Here’s what’s hot for this spring

image from media.pennlive.comSpring has been all over the weather map since it sprung last week. It has been balmy, then wet, then cold and warm again. But we’re not complaining. Here’s what’s hot for this spring.

For pro football and baseball fans, there’s something lacking in our sports lives this time of year. Baseball is just around the corner, but Major League Soccer has already begun (and the season runs through October).

Philadelphia Union fans can join friends at Anthony’s Micropub & Pizza, an official Sons of Ben Pub Partner.

During home and away Union games, Anthony’s offers $2 domestic bottles, $5 dozen wings and $6 medium plain pizzas. One TV near the elbow of the bar carries Comcast and CSN, allowing viewing for 10 to 15 bar seats, plus the high-top tables behind them. Game features on NBC Sports and Fox are available on DirecTV and can be viewed on more of Anthony’s TVs.

Want one more reason to become a Philadelphia Union fan? Our City Islanders are the Union’s farm team.

Also, catch soccer action at Molly Brannigan’s. If the game is aired, it has it, no matter the station. All Arooga’s stores carry Philadelphia Union games; Arooga’s 11 offers the full MLS package.

McGrath’s, Legends and Mulligan’s also broadcast a variety of MLS games.

  • DETAILS: Anthony’s Micro Pub & Pizza, 225 N. Second St., Harrisburg, 717-238-2009.
