I’ve pretty much traded in my usual crisp whites and light-bodied red wines in favor of beer this summer. All kinds of beer, in fact.
My mom and I are big believers in Coors Light early in the beach day (tastes best after a quick dip in the ocean, much like we practiced last weekend), and I’ve been trying craft beers, such as Chicago’s Finch Beer (we washed down a Delmonico and salad with their blonde ale), all season long.
If your summer sounds anything close to this — or you want it to — you’re in luck. This weekend, there are several beer-related events, sure to sate your curiosity for new tastes and interesting brews.
It begins Saturday with not one, but two, beer festivals — oh, and a wing festival at a brewery.
