Imbibing is a time-honored tradition. In America, we toast to celebrate, sip to remember and as often as possible, party like it's 1999. Also, when given the opportunity, there is no better reason to indulge than in the name of charity.
Here's how it works. Pick a charity or cause of choice — such as disease research, animal rescue or aiding the disabled — throw a shindig, tack on a price tag and invite everyone you know to participate. These are win-win events for everyone: Those in need receive a monetary boost from raised funds and increase awareness for their cause, and you get a chance to do something fun and different with friends new and old.
