Have you become obsessed with your social networks? Perhaps you’ve made up your own social media rules you follow for each channel — Or you often question when and what to share.
Social media appears to be here to stay, and as more and more businesses realize this and embrace the idea of a Facebook page or a Foursquare account, it’s as important as ever to be able to execute the proper social media strategy.
Whether you’re in charge of your company’s social media networks or just want to be (maybe you’re the squeaky wheel who has been trying to convince your boss to go for it), I encourage you to attend the Social Media at Work conference on Oct. 17 at HACC’s Wildwood Conference Center.
Both beginner and advance social media users will find value in the three-track summit.
Glen Gilmore, Esq., an internationally-recognized digital marketing strategist ranked 7th on Forbes’ list of “Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers,” kicks off the day. Mark W. Schaefer, the founder of Social Slam (#SoSlam) and author of The Tao of Twitter, wraps up the conference. In-between, chose three of six sessions featuring local social media, business and marketing stars. (Last year, I was part of one of the panels.)

Tickets for the daylong conference are $99. A student rate of $49 also is available.
