Nothing like some good carbs in your body to fuel your next-day’s race. The Sturges Speakeasy will be offering a charitable pasta and salad fundraiser open to racers and the public all day with a night-before kickoff that goes from 4-11 p.m. April 12 (the day before the race). Cost is $12 (The Speakeasy’s regular menu of food and drink is also available, of course). All proceeds from the Carb-Up event are being donated to the K+L Guardian Foundation. Thank you guys!

Rock’n Roll After-Party at Ceoltas

Party Jersey Mike style! Local rock bands, Running from Dharma, Hierosonic, Hip Pocket, Very Americans and more will play the top two floors of Ceoltas Irish Pub, beginning at 2 p.m.
Plus, celebrate your 3.1 miles with a cold ones! 100% of sales of Miller 64 will be donated to the K+L Foundation. Non-alcoholic beverages, other refreshments and food also will be available for sale.
A raffle will include great prizes from local small businesses, including bar, restaurant and spa gift cards, tattoo certificates, a Miller 64 mini fridge and a chance to guest-brew at beer at Appalachian Brewing Co.! After-party is included in your race registration, so sign-up today! Non-registrants can pay a small donation to attend.
