Did you know that September is host to more festivals in our area than any other month?
Celebrating 10 years, the Gettysburg Wine & Music Festival presented by the Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7 at the Gateway Gettysburg Complex at the intersection of Routes 15 and 30.
Celebrate the grape harvest and enjoy a fantastic fall weekend in historic Gettysburg while you savor the flavors of hundreds of Pennsylvania wines. Indulge your senses with fine wine from 25 Pennsylvania wineries, great live music, spectacular food, art, crafts and more.
Featured wineries include Allegro Vineyard, Arundel Cellars, Bee Kind Winery, Benigna’s Creek Winery, Blue Mountain Vineyards, Brookmere Winery & Vineyard Inn, Buddy Boy Winery, Fero Vineyards and Winery, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Franklin Hill Vineyards, Greenhouse Winery, Happy Valley Vineyard & Winery, Hauser Estate Winery, Heritage Wine Cellars, Juniata Valley Winery, Long Trout Winery, Moon Dancer Vineyards & Winery, Paradocx Vineyard, Red Shale Ridge Vineyards, Sand Castle Winery, Seven Mountains Wine Cellars, Shade Mountain Winery, Starr Hill Winery, West Hanover Winery and Winery at Wilcox.
A variety of food and craft vendors also will be a part of the festival, from Uncle Moe’s Soul Food and Nooners Wood Fired Pizza to Van Winkle’s Opera Fudge and Torchbearer Sauces.
Admission includes a souvenir wine glass, unlimited samples and access to live entertainment.
Speaking of, live music includes performances by Half Serious, The Reagan Years and Brittany Opperman (Saturday) and Michael Christopher, Bluesman Tom Larsen Dynamic Duo and The Muddy Crows (Sunday).
Tickets are $20/advance; $25/door. Designated driver/underage (13-20) tickets are $12. Kids 12 and younger enter free.
Proper ID is required to enter the festival grounds. No pets, weapons or outside food may be brought onto the grounds. Chairs, portable tents (in designated area), blankets, and empty coolers welcome. No refunds.
