Drink in some knowledge during Harrisburg Beer Week

Share Article

Beer used to be thought of something from the gods. Before discovering fermentation, ancient brewers could not explain how the grain and water became alcoholic.

Even though some beer might be a religious experience, we now know that beer is a fine science.

That science will be on full display during the first annual Harrisburg Beer Week with a number of events that will educate you and get you buzzed at the same time.

Lager 101 with ABC Master Brewer Artie Tafoya

  • Monday, April 27, 6-8 p.m., Appalachian Brewing Company Mechanicsburg

ABC #HBGBeerWeek

A common misconception is that all lagers are alike, but if you join Tafoya you will sample four different types of lagers while discussing how each one is unique. Discover the different colors, tastes and aromas that each beer has to offer, and learn what it takes to brew one of the most challenging styles of beer.

Event is limited to 60 people. You must register by emailing: Lager101@abcbrew.com (register up to four people per email)
