RECAP: 2015 Booze Cruise

Share Article

For a moment, it seemed like everything could go wrong. The Pride of the Susquehanna was pulled from the river for repairs for the first time in 27 years (I had a plan B!), the forecast — usually bright and sunshine-filled — was gloomy, dreary and WET.

Cruise 1

But somehow — somehow! — it all worked out. The Pride returned to its home on the Susquehanna just hours before we set sail, and though chillier than usual, the weather was comfortably overcast and dry.

Just a heads up — This event is always rain or shine, boat or no boat. We don’t quit. But I’m glad we were able to sail on Wednesday.

Of course, things started with a vibrant pre-party on the Overlook Deck, where our event partners set-up goodies for attendees to taste.

Arooga’s went all out with their snack plates featuring Buffalo Chicken Dip, chips, “baseball bats” and cheese dip.

Cruise 21

One of the team’s unofficial “cans of summer,” Victory supplied their now-in-cans Summer Love.

Cruise 11

Keystone State Wine & Spirits shared marionberry whiskey, cherry whiskey and a coffee rum!

Cruise 10

Of course, Merlot Mike was on hand repping The Vineyard at Hershey.

Cruise 97

Macris Chocolates featured an impressive set-up, plus tons of chocolate bark samples (the one with cayenne was the first to go!)

Cruise 3

Surprise entertainment by Pepka, my favorite sleight of hand magician.

Cruise 168

Of course, once on the boat, chill vibes prevailed, thanks to DJ Geoffro.

Cruise 201

We almost got a new SaraBozich.com Team photo, but unfortunately Kelly was sick and couldn’t make it! New contributor Becky was aboard, as was Intern Jimi.

Cruise 87

Thanks as always to the wonderful Pride staff, captain and crew. There were A LOT of phone calls and reassurances, and I know they personally worked many nights and overtime to ensure that the boat was ready for our cruise.

Afterwards, we headed to Arooga’s Downtown for the official “after party,” which was largely just eating my favorite Kangarooga Skinny Wings and washing it down with a Pizza Boy Eternal Sunshine.

Thanks to all of YOU who joined us for a spectacular night. Remember, if you “missed the boat,” these cruises have always SOLD OUT. Be sure you’re on our Events Mailing List, so you get first access to all SaraBozich.com Events.

Cheers! See you at the next one!
