does Beer Meccas

Every interest has its “meccas.” The place where it all started or the place where they do it the best.

For sports, it’s towns like Cooperstown, Canton or just the city your team calls home.

Wine drinkers have Napa Valley, the Finger Lakes — and of course, Italy or France.

Just like all of these places, craft beer enthusiasts have their own places of pilgrimage. It could be San Diego, Portland or local places like Philadelphia.

Over the next week, Sara, Tierney and Jimi will making their own journeys to two of the best craft beer spots in the U.S.: Asheville, North Carolina and Fort Collins, Colorado.

Jimi is hitting Denver and Fort Collins this week with two of his best friends. He’s visiting all of the local places like New Belgium, Odell and Great Divide but will also be taking in everything Colorado has to offer. Watch out for some nature pictures!

He will be posting his excursions on both Twitter and Instagram with his handle @jwerner1029 for both.

Sara and Tierney will be making their mark on Asheville during the Beer Bloggers Conference this weekend. The duo will be hitting all of the hot spots in one of the emerging beer cities in the world. On the docket are places like Oskar Blues, Sierra Nevada and all the beer bars they can fit in. We all know they will have plenty of stories to share (or not) with all of us.

You can follow Sara (if you don’t already) with her handle @sarabozich on both Instagram and Twitter and Tierney’s handle is @tyrannytierney for both as well. They’ll also be using the #TandSdoAsheville once they start their road trip on Thursday. The conference also can be followed using #BBC15.

Jealousy is a little expected but you can live vicariously through us for the week. Look for our full stories following all of the craziness.

If you have been to either of these places please let us know your best recommendations.
