We had the antidote to Wednesday’s brutal heat: beer, air conditioning and a cool setting.
This month’s Happy Hour took us to River City Blues & Dart Club, where we hung out downstairs in the blues lounge.
For many, this was a first visit to River City, and the hospitality was top notch.
New Belgium — just launched statewide two days prior — was on-hand with giveaways (including Zac Brown Band tickets!), plus plenty of beer. Thanks to our friends at W&L for this sweet hook-up!
On tap is New Belgium Fat Tire, and bottles of Ranger IPA (my choice for the evening), Pumpkick and more Fat Tire flowed through the evening.
Jason Carst provided live acoustic covers for the evening — a bit hit for this post-work relaxation crowd.
River City also showcased some of its treats from the kitchen with butlered snacks throughout the night!
