I’ve known “Bearcat” for nearly 8 years or so, following his writing since the days of Daddy’s Sugar Ball.
Because we’ve also come to share the love of craft beer, I’ve been really excited about his newer venture, Bearcat on Beer, and especially its podcast component, Operation Shutdown (or “The Bearcast” as we affectionately call it).
Earlier this month, I hopped on Skype to throw back a few and chat about Holiday Beers, of all things, and a bunch of random mumbo jumbo. It was a blast.

This is all important to tell you what to drink on Thanksgiving.
Wine
Bearcat and I actually agree on this one thing: Beaujolais Nouveau. It’s so seasonal. And honestly, if you picked up any, you have to drink it because it’ll be shit by January.
Here are 753 articles I’ve written about Beaujolais Nouveau in the past:
- 7 things to know about Beaujolais Day
- All about Beaujolais Nouveau
- Last year’s Beaujolais Nouveau events
