The Kilmaine Saints return to the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing on in Harrisburg this Friday for their 4th annual “Kilmaine Saint Patrick’s Day” show.
The Irish-Folk inspired punk rock band based out of Mechanicsburg has gained notoriety over the years as one of the area’s best live performances. Bringing together a mix of people all lined up to raise a pint and sing along with some of the great original tunes, The Kilmaine Saints have packed venues with for years.
Formed in 2009, The Kilmaine Saints have played hundreds of festivals, received national and local airplay and have 5 critically acclaimed releases under their belt since then.
In my opinion their greatest release so far is the 2017 album “Whiskey, Blues & Faded Tattoos.” Its like they named the album after me. My favorite track has to be “Pennsylvania’s Finest” I love the string work from the violin and the mandolin player on this song.
The video for the title track to the album is well done. I’ve said many times how important it is for bands and artists to get quality visuals out. There is a very clear distinction between bands/artists that invest in visuals and bands that don’t. Check out the video below to get you pumped up for the performance this Saturday night!
Joining The Kilmaine Saints for their 4th annual show is Harrisburg based Celtic-Rock band Hold Fast and Lancaster based Irish-Folk band Down by The Glenside.

So grab your lad or lass, top off a pint of stout (stay away from green beer, it’s not Irish and we find it tacky), and jig your way down to The Abbey Bar for a night of dancing and good times. The show ends at midnight so you’ll get plenty of rest for the St. Paddy’s Day weekend, including the Harrisburg Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday.
