Once the warmer weather arrives, we want to do everything outside.
Drinks on patios, cook on the grill, and even catch a flick or two under the stars.
Once again, Midtown Cinema and Friends of Midtown teamed up to convert the Cinema’s parking lot into an al fresco theater throughout the summer.
Outdoor movie schedule
Films will range from all-time classics to newer films that will offer something for all ages. Plus, every movie is FREE to attend.
All movies start at dusk, so there is optimal darkness for movie visibility.

Know before you go
Once you’ve made your plan to head out for a fresh-air movie, there are a few things you’ll need to know and have prepped before you go.
BYOS – Since this is in their parking lot, you’ll need to come prepped with your own seating. I would suggest grabbing your favorite lawn or beach chairs to set up, but blankets are welcome as well.
Crowler it up – Before the opening credits roll, be sure you make your way into ZerØday for a crowler of your favorite Midtown brew. I suggest a Positive Vibes if it’s still on tap or a MangoHab with a splash of ZerØday ginger beer.
Show up early – Not only do you want to get the best seat in the lot, but each night also features live music from local bands before the film starts rolling. Keep an eye out on social media to see who will be playing each night.
No food or drink – Midtown Cinema does not allow any outside food or drink during the outdoor movies so leave the cooler and snacks at home. You’re in luck though, as they have an expanded menu of concessions available.
Makeup dates – It’s the summer, and we all know how unpredictable this weather can get. If it gets rained out, usually the movie is scheduled for the day after.
