The Brewers of Pennsylvania’s Meeting of the Malts VII returns to Artsquest Center at Steelstacks in Bethlehem on Thursday, Aug. 23.
The annual event brings together the Pennsylvania craft beer community to discuss the state of craft beer over a multi-course dinner and panel discussion with some of the biggest names in craft beer.
Draft Magazine named Meeting of the Malts the #12 in their list of 101 beer experiences. With a fantastic lineup of speakers, and of course, Pennsylvania beer, there is little question as to why.

One of the major elements of the event is the star-studded panel discussion. Each year, the BOP brings together a group of craft beer leaders who know their way around a mash tun and fermenter.
This year is no different. For the first time, the panel discussion will include participants from national powerhouse breweries, Founders Brewing Co. and Cigar City Brewing Co.
The Panelists
- Tom Kehoe – Founder, president, brewmaster at Yards Brewing Co.
- Bill Covaleski – Co-founder, brewmaster at Victory Brewing Co.
- Wendy Yuengling – Chief administrative office at D.G. Yuengling & Sons
- Mike Stevens – President and co-founder at Founders Brewing Co.
- Joey Redner – Founder at Cigar City Brewing Co.
Jim Koch (Sam Adams) and Dick Yuengling also will speak and give the opening remarks.
Along with the panel discussion the festivities include a beer pairing dinner and a brew fest with 23 different breweries.
The four-course beer dinner features a Selected Panel Guest Beer paired with each course. Plus, everyone in attendance gets an exclusive collaboration draft.
Tickets for Meeting of the Malts include admission for the panel, beer dinner, and brewfest.
