Boutique Review: Festoon Lancaster

Share Article

A few months ago, I stumbled upon Little Bits & Pieces Boutique, and it instantly reminded me of Festoon in downtown Lancaster. I visit the shop pretty much every other week during my library run.

Festoon Lancaster

Without even going inside, you can tell Festoon is cool right off the bat because it’s housed in an old firehouse on Duke Street. But its charm doesn’t stop there. Festoon is full of unique jewelry and accessories, home decor, locally made candles, specialty body care, and boutique clothing. It’s Lancaster’s urban feel of chic and class at its finest.

Festoon, which also has a store in Lititz, prides itself on offering a truly special shopping experience and features several lines that can only be found in-store.

In fact, Festoon is the only boutique in Pa. to carry Magnolia Pearl. It’s dreamy and boho but still timeless and chic. I love it. They also carry specialty “Lancaster” branded merchandise to sport your Red Rose City pride (but don’t worry, it’s definitely more Main Line than beach boardwalk, so you won’t look cheesy.) I love grabbing these to send to my friends who have moved so they can always remember they came from the 717!

If Festoon has piqued your interest, definitely stop by this Saturday. They’re offering the “Brio Wellness Experience” featuring their exclusive line of body care products made from goat’s milk and essential oils. Relax for a bit with a hand massage before you shop till you drop.

But the fun doesn’t end there. Festoon has been celebrating its 15th birthday all month, concluding with the Give Back, Get Back Grand Finale event next weekend. Starting June 29, shoppers can purchase a specially-designed Festoon 15 bag and will receive 5% off all clothing they can fit in through Sept. 1. Proceeds will benefit Compass Mark, a Lancaster nonprofit centered on addiction prevention.

And if you’re looking to explore more of Lancaster, the new Imperial is right down the street. The eclectic cocktails are definitely worth stopping by to try. Or grab a pizza and a pint from Lancaster’s Federal Taphouse (yes, it’s the same as the one in Harrisburg) across the street.

Don’t forget to stop by Square One for a latte before you leave, too! It’s my favorite place to grab a coffee before I hit the library down the street (to return my books, of course.)
