Shark Week is practically here! ?

Shark Week 2019 is just days away, and there is SO much to watch. The shark extravaganza runs July 28 through Aug. 4.
Every year there are a few can’t-miss shows. A few years ago, it was the Phelp v Shark madness, and this year, there is one I cannot wait to see.
Before I give you my picks … how ’bout a little fun?
Shark Week Drinking Game
Because it makes it that much better.
- Any time someone is referred to as a shark expert – ?
- If they successfully tag a shark – ?
- Any time something makes you say “NOPE!” – ?
- Any time a celebrity gets in the water – ??
- If someone says “shark-infested waters” – ??
- If someone does anything for the first time – Play “Never Have I Ever” and the loser drinks (if with your crew) or just ??
- If someone calls a shark a “beauty” – ??? because it’s been a while since someone talked to you like that
- First Andy Casagrande sighting (per episode) – ???
- Shark breach – ? the whole time the shark is out of the water (slow-mo beware)
- If they find a Megalodon – Finish your ?. Move as far away from water as possible.
What to watch
Okay, here goes. Each night of the week you get around two new shows to watch or DVR.
Here’s what I do not want to miss.
Expedition Unkown: Megaladon
9 p.m., Sunday, July 28
I don’t know what it is about these types of shows, but I can’t look away. Look, I know they aren’t going to find an actual megalodon, but what I like is the creative techniques and research that go into putting these expeditions together.
Legend of Deep Blue
9 p.m., Monday, July 29
*Jimi’s top pick!*
A few months ago, pics started to circulate around the Instagram-o-sphere of a gigantic shark. I immediately sent them to Sara. It was Big Blue!
Researchers found the mythical 20+ foot shark, and I can’t wait to see the footage. This is must-watch TV.
Air Jaws Strikes Back
10 p.m., Tuesday, July 30
Air Jaws is always one of the best shows of the whole week. It doesn’t matter how many times I see those sharks jump from the water, it still looks amazing.
This time, the Air Jaws crew is hitting up a brand new spot to watch the battle between Great Whites and seals.
Great White Kill Zone: Guadaloupe
9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1
This has more chances of Great White predations. A team of shark scientists (drink) explore the Great White’s hunting habits of the coast of Guadaloupe.
Whites in this area are said to jump from the water like those in South Africa, but there has never been an attack caught on film in Guadaloupe … yet.
Isle of Jaws: Blood Brothers
8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2
Great Whites are believed to be very solitary creatures. Usually, you don’t seem them interacting with one another, but off the coast of Australia, a team of researchers look into two Whites believed to be brothers that seem to want to always hunt together.
Happy Shark Week, everyone! ?
