The beginning
How/when did you start blogging, and what first inspired you?
I started blogging 3 years ago. For years, I read multiple blog posts that encouraged me in parenting my little kids, and I wanted to pay it forward. I learned that people were making a full-time income, and set out to create a business that would do the same. For the past 2 years, it has now become my full-time job.
Day in the life
What is a typical day like for you?
We are about to get ready to head back to school, so this will be more office time and a little less time juggling the kids during the day. However, this is currently my schedule:
- 6-7 a.m I typically wake up earlier than my kids to have some quiet time and coffee.
- 7-8 a.m. Get everyone breakfast, and dressed
- 8-9 a.m. Chores and respond to all social media messages & comments on Facebook & Instagram
- 9-11 a.m. Reply to emails, negotiate contracts, write content
- 11-1 p.m. Go do something fun with kids, prepare lunch
- 1-3 p.m. Kids’ quiet time; Update records for the day, send out invoices, plan photoshoots, create content for the blog, create Pins for Pinterest, networking with other bloggers
- 1-5 p.m. No work; quality time with kids
- 5-6:30 p.m. Start dinner, husband gets home, eat together
- 6:30 p.m. Shoot anything that needs to be done
- 7-8 p.m. Family time, play a game
- 8 p.m. Bedtime for kids, baths, and work begins for me
- 8-11p.m. Some nights I take off and relax with my hubby, but typically I spend this time posting to my social media accounts, engaging with my audience, prepping documents to send to brands for review before content goes live, editing photos, and sending a few pitches to brands
- 11 p.m. Lights out

What do you enjoy most from blogging?
Connecting with people from all over the world. I have made great friends from blogger events that I have attended all over the country, and have gotten to know so many people in my audience very well. I love being able to make relationships and friendships with people with all different views and lifestyles, and I’m grateful they look to connect with me each day!

What do you hope to accomplish through your work?
I had certain income goals that I reached, and I hope to sustain, so now I am more focused on creating some simple courses to truly help bloggers succeed in this space, and an outline for my consultations.

What is your inspiration?
Wanting to encourage women to follow their dreams, that nothing is impossible, and to find joy in the chaos of parenting.
