Hibrewnation

Hibrewnation takes your standard beer festival and turns it up to 11.

The annual festival of beer is back at the York Fair Grounds on Saturday, February 8 from 1-5 p.m.

Hibrewnation is more than just ponying up to each brewery’s table and asking for the next pour of the same beer you’ve probably had before. The event features tons of extremely rare beers, firkins, and pins along with dozens of local vendors.

The organizers of the event hand-select each beer to ensure they don’t have 45 iterations of the same style. Each brewery is a new experience, and you’re bound to get lost in the variety of the 250+ available beers.

Get started or get geeky

If you’re new to the craft beer game, don’t let rare beers and firkins scare you off from this awesome craft beer experience. Hibrewnation strives to offer beer for all palates, no matter how many Untappd check-ins you have.

Hibrewnation is just as much about quality as it is quantity.

You’ll find both local, regional, and national breweries among the participants. Look for local favorites like Boneshire Brew Works, Tattered Flag, and Wolf next to breweries like Neshaminy Creek, Wicked Weed, and Evil Genius, among others.

Each brewery brings 3-4 beers of their own, but the pouring goes beyond a brewery’s jockey box. Every year, Hibrewnation features limited releases of rare beers throughout the event from the organizers’ personal stashes.

Homebrew, bottle shop, and exclusive cans

For the first time, Hibrewnation put out the call to local homebrewers to participate in a large homebrew competition during the event.

This year, Hibrewnation will host more than 40 homebrewers competing for top prizes.

While you’re there, be sure to check out Hibrewnation’s bottle shop full of beer ranging from the rare to standard local offerings.

Hibrewnation also has an event exclusive four-pack from Rotunda Brewing Co. for everyone who grabs Big Bear tickets.

Big Bear exclusive four-pack:

  • Key Lime sWheat tart
  • Pineapple Cherry Lemonade sWheat tart
  • Blueberry Cobbler  sWheat tart

A sixtel of each beer will also be available for sampling while supplies last.

In addition to beer from local and regional breweries, the festival offers samples from several regional distilleries and meaderies.
