4 non-cheesy Valentine (or Galentine!) ideas

Share Article

Friday is one of the most loved (or hated) days of the year — Do you have the perfect gift for your better half yet? Here are some easy gift ideas that your Valentine is sure to love — with no teddy bears or chocolates in sight.

Unwind with Carmina Cristina

Check out Carmina Cristina, an experienced makeup artist who created her own cosmetics line that she carries at her boutique in Camp Hill. The boutique also offers spa facials (which use Carmina-Cristina skincare products), professional makeup application services and workshops and classes, and carries body care products and gift sets for men and women.

I love gifting (and receiving) spa services because everyone could use some self-care and a chance to relax!

Makeup Master

I met make-up artist Talitha Collado at Nicole Taylor Boutique last year, where she helped me create my own perfect red lipstick.

Using a variety of colors, add-ins, textures, and fragrances, Talitha helps her guests create their own lip colors (gloss or lipstick) that are truly unique to their style. It’s so fun – and extremely satisfying – to watch Talitha blend your custom color right in front of you!

I’d suggest a gift card to Talitha’s Collado Cosmetic Lab so your sweetie can craft their own color. Talitha also specializes in brows and lashes, too.

Burning Love

Light their fire … literally … with a custom candle making experience at Lancaster Wick Bar.

Lancaster Wick Bar offers “workshops” for two, and each guest gets to craft their own signature scent and candle.

It’s BYOB, so grab your favorite bottle – or stop at Waltz Vineyard (one of my favorites!) – on the way into Lancaster to sip while you create.

Lancaster Wick Bar is located in downtown Lancaster, which is filled with great spots for drinks and dinner. I’d recommend The Horse Inn, which probably has the best burger and drinks in the city.

Dinner and a Show

My list wouldn’t be complete without suggesting a show or two! I personally like gifting “experiences” so we can spend time at the event together, rather than picking up an expensive gift that may not be used or really appreciated.

Plus, check out what’s coming soon:

Happy Valentine’s Day, loves!
