Culture Vulture: Online Entertainment

Share Article

Although we’ve all been asked to limit our social interactions (read: stay at home at much as possible), we still need to find ways to support our local businesses during this time.

Our Culture Vulture series puts it to our community to choose their own #supportlocal adventure to patronize local businesses at a time when they need it the most.

Craft your preferred “night out” from food + drink options, entertainment, and local shopping all while sitting from the comfort of your home.

Support the local arts & entertainment!

Our Culture Vulture adventure continues with choosing your daily entertainment.

If this is your first stop it’s bold but acceptable. Sometimes our entertainment choices can fuel what the rest of the night has in store.

We’ve already seen how the current climate has impacted local theatres, studios, and other areas of local art.

A few have had to put a pin in their offerings for the season and others are seeing major delays.

Here’s how you show support!

Movies & theatre

We may be stuck at home, but we can still see and enjoy local theatre and entertainment!

A night at the movies! Midtown Cinema is bringing the movie to your living room with Midtown Cinema On-demand.

Movies release starting March 25, and there will be eight different movies to stream from your own home.

That’s not it from Harrisburg’s independent movie house either. They are starting MC-Squared (Midtown Cinema Movie Club) to get conversations going about staff favorites. It starts with Stuart Landon’s pick of Pan’s Labirynth on March 27 at 2 p.m.

Take a trip to dozens of Pa. breweries without leaving your couch with Poured in PAstreaming NOW on Amazon Prime Video. Follow the GK Visual team as we criss-cross the state talking with PA brewers, brewery owners, and other industry leaders.

You’ll want to have a beer ready for this.

All your home is a stage with Open Stage‘s new digital content! The crew at Open Stage is going virtual with new content.
