In the some-good-news-PLEASE department, we are thrilled to share that our good friends at Boneshire Brew Works will open a second taproom in SoMa Harrisburg!
Yes — they’re moving into the space that house sip @ soma, a limited engagement taproom that hosted guest breweries (and cideries and wineries) from throughout Pennsylvania since February 2019.
SoMa Harrisburg
The SoMa (south of Market St.) neighborhood of Harrisburg has been a developing tract within downtown Harrisburg. We’re proud to have hosted our SoMa Block Party series and sip @ soma events for Harristown Enterprises/HBG Realty, partners on much of the area, since 2017.

Boneshire joins the lovey vintage style geniuses Stash x Midtown Dandy (it’s right next door!), local favorite restaurants Bricco (reopening this week!) and El Sol Mexican Restaurant, International House Harrisburg, modern residential living at F@TT and SoMa on Third, among others — including more Harrisburg University buildings.
The neighborhood is primed to be the next hot spot in the City, and the addition of Boneshire means there will be plenty of delicious, local craft beer to celebrate it.
About Boneshire Brew Works
Boneshire Brew Works opened on Derry St. in 2016.
Boneshire is incredibly involved in the community, from collaboration beers with other breweries to nonprofit organizations. They were active with Harrisburg Beer Week and joined the 717 Collaboration in 2019. They’ve helped countless local organizations, are the first to say ‘yes’ to opportunities, and on top of that — the beer is really fricking good.
No doubt Boneshire Brew Works will make an engaged neighbor in SoMa Harrisburg.
The space
The former sip @ soma location is intimate. There are about two dozen seats, and 12 taps. It’s the perfect place to meet friends for a pint or grab a six-pack to go.
I can’t wait to see what Boneshire does with it.
Opening scheduled for spring 2021!
