Outside of its quality vodka and natural flavors, it’s my favorite thing about the company. Or that they ship statewide. Or that you can find them in Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores across Pennsylvania.
Now — you can find HOLLA featured at another nearby location: The Hotel Hershey.
The beverage team at The Hotel Hershey recently updated the recipe for its Signature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Martini to feature HOLLA Spirits.
The cocktail is available at The Iberian Lounge.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Martini
To develop the recipe, Harvest Restaurant Manager and Sommelier Kathryne Nimon committed to eating as many Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as necessary.
The cocktail starts with a layer of HERSHEY’S Chocolate Syrup. Then, Nimon combines four spirits in a shaker with ice:
- HOLLA Spirits PBV Vodka
- Marie Brizard Chocolate Royal (to balance the peanut butter bite)
- Frangelico (to bring out nutty notes)
- Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur (for sweetness and color)
Once nice and cold, it’s all poured into the chocolate-lined martini glass. The cocktail is complete with a garnish of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Nimon’s candy consumption worked: The sweet-as-dessert martini is nutty and sweet, perfectly reminiscent of its namesake.
Choosing HOLLA Spirits
A York native, Nimon knew HOLLA Spirits and is excited to use a product from her hometown. She even ordered their products direct-to-door during quarantine.
While researching a new cocktail recipe with the property food and beverage manager, they discovered HOLLA’s peanut butter-flavored vodka, PBV.
Nimon, a Level 3 sommelier, likes that HOLLA Spirits’ products are smooth and lack the harsh bite of some lower-priced vodkas. She said the quality is essentially on par with high-end vodkas at a much friendlier price point [HOLLA Spirits retail for less than $20!].
Nimon said she hopes to play around with some of HOLLA’s other flavors, especially Paw Paw, for additional cocktails at Harvest.
The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Martini is available at The Iberian Lounge at The Hotel Hershey.
Once Harvest reopens, it will be added to its cocktail menu as well.
