Rosanne Pugliese Rubellit Teardrop Necklace
This stone, with its ombré shades of pink, is a beautiful example of the rosy saturation that qualifies a tourmaline to be called a rubellite. Rosanne starts by hand forming 18k wire into a kind of “seat” framing the back of the teardrop before extending prongs around the sides to secure the stone in its setting. Her chain comprises hand fabricated links in warm, 22k yellow gold, bringing a luxurious satiny contrast to the sparkling facets of the pendant.
Monika Krol White Moonstone Ring
Monika starts by hand fabricating an 18k yellow gold bezel around the 6.99 carat white moonstone. Then, she carves a block of wax — by hand — to contour the stone’s shape and size, and tapers to the inside of the band with a precise, symmetrical fit. After having the model cast in 18k, she seamlessly solders her bezel to the casting, then sets and seals the stone. Finally, she uses pumice powder to give the ring a uniformly brushed finish.
Mimi Favre Small Star Stud Earrings
Mimi draws her inspiration for this design from the Northern Cross — a distinct pattern of stars within the “Cygnus the Swan” constellation in the northern celestial hemisphere. Meticulously hand carved in wax then cast in 18k yellow gold, each cross sits atop an 18k post fitted with a friction back to remain securely on the ear. Mimi finishes each by hand for a warm matte surface.
