Friends of Fort Hunter hosts its Farm to River dinner on Sunday, Aug. 15 on the lawn at Fort Hunter Mansion.
The annual fundraising dinner includes a locally sourced boxed dinner, local beer and wine, and live acoustic music.
Fort Hunter Farm-to-River Dinner
Held on the lawn of Fort Hunter Mansion overlooking the Susquehanna River, guests enjoy a cash bar featuring beer from Harrisburg’s own Boneshire Brew Works and wine from Nissley Vineyards.
Acoustic music by RiverRat Jenkins will set the mood while Daniel Clemente’s tableside sleight-of-hand will entertain.
Bring your own inspired table decorations for the evening as the “Best Dressed” table scores a prize. Jeffrey’s Flowers will bring beauty to your table no matter the additional decor. Plus, a gift card raffle will be available for $20/ticket.
Dinner comes via Healthy You Café, and it will be provided individually boxed.
The Appetizer Box includes Melon ball skewer (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew with honey mint lime glaze), Corn salsa with toasted baguette, Feta whipped stuffed cucumber, and Loaded popper pepper.
For the main, the Entree Box features Herbed ricotta zucchini quiche with fresh fruit kabob, Roasted seasonal vegetable Panzanella salad, and Cilantro lime chicken thigh. Homemade Desserts also are included.
