The SoMa Block Party Series kicks off its 2022 season on May 19!
What is SoMa Harrisburg?
SoMa Harrisburg is a neighborhood in downtown Harrisburg. “SoMa” stands for “SOuth” of “MArket,” and our events primarily take place on the block of S. Third St, which is between Market and Chestnut Streets.
Tell me about the SoMa Block Party Series
The SoMa Block Party Series is held monthly May through October this year. During these events, we close down S. Third St. and party under the lights!
This year, all “sip” locations also will be open during the Block Party — including Boneshire Taps @ SOMA, plus additional vendors on the street. Each Block Party also features at least two food trucks and at least one non-alcoholic vendor. And we have a great lineup of live music on the street for each event!

How much does it cost?
SoMa Block Party events are FREE to attend. You’ll want to make sure you bring a card (recommended) or cash to purchase food and drink from vendors.
Are kids allowed/is it family friendly?
Children are welcome; however, please note there are no kid-specific activities available. Children under 18 should be under the supervision of a parent or adult guardian.
Are dogs allowed?
We LOVE dogs! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to party with us. Please curb your dog (and maybe bring him a water dish!)
Where to park? (and how much is it?)
Street parking is available on Market, Chestnut, 4th Streets, and the surrounding areas. Parking is free after 7 p.m. throughout downtown Harrisburg, so you’re set!
Is the street closed?
YES. South Third Street between Market & Chestnut Streets is CLOSED for the SoMa Block Party. Park nearby, and walk over.
What is open during the Block Party?

What should I bring?
Your friends, your in-laws, your partner, your coworkers, your neighbors … For real though, just a good vibe, valid ID (for alcoholic bevs), and a card (recommended) or cash for purchases.
So, what’s sip @ soma then?
Great question. Sip @ soma (we say “sip at soma”) is a tasting room concept. The original one was where Bonshire TAPS @ SOMA is, and in late 2021, we opened the *new* “sip @ soma” at 23 S. Third St., and “sip @ 17” at 17 S. Third St. in 2022.
