7 Things I learned as a new Hersheypark Season Pass Holder | Sweetest Families

Share Article

I didn’t think I needed a Hersheypark Season Pass. Just one visit so far this year has proved me wrong.

Hersheypark is the ultimate in summer fun. Growing up in the area, I visited the park often, but never what I thought would be “season pass” level frequency.

In fact, even with a four-year-old, I wasn’t sure whether it was necessary for our family. But then we used our pass to visit with family recently (and we’re going to do it again -soon!- with other friends and family!).

Here’s what changed my mind about a Hersheypark Season Pass.

7 Reasons to get a Hersheypark Season Pass

1 | Early Access

If you’re a Hersheypark Season Pass holder, you can start your park experience well before most.

Beginning in the spring, pass holders score access to the park for Springtime In The Park, exclusive ride previews, and of course unlimited visits all summer. Come fall, your pass works for fall and winter events Hersheypark In The Dark and Christmas Candylane, too.

Plus, during the summer months, enter the park as early as 10 a.m. (it opens to the public at 11 a.m.) for shorter lines and smaller crowds. Sweet Start offers one-hour early access to Hersheypark for Season Pass holders (Regular and King Size only) and Hershey Resorts guests.

2 | Parking

This might be #1 if I’m honest. Not only is parking included with your season pass, but it’s the *good* parking, right by Hersheypark Stadium. Talk about making the day a breeze.

Free parking is available only for Regular and King Size season pass holders, though Bite Size pass holders can purchase parking for half-off.

3 | Season Pass Add-ons

Hersheypark has a bunch of incredible add-ons to upgrade your visit. From Fast Passes to All-Day Drinks, you can upgrade your ticket to make the most of your visit.

Season Pass holders can purchase season-long upgrades, including an All-Summer Dining Plan, All-Year Drink Plan (this is *included* in the King Size Season Pass option!), 2022 All-Year Hershey Gardens and The Hershey Story Museum Plan, and All-Year Family Photo Pass. Mix and match for the ultimate Hershey summer!

I recommend the All Day Drink plan, which includes FREE refills in an exclusive souvenir cup for soft drinks and Slush (!) at kiosks throughout the park.

4 | Monthly Rewards

What! Hersheypark Season Pass holders get additional goodies each month. You’ll score things like food and drink specials and invitations to special events. This month, Full and King Size Pass Holders get early entry to The Boardwalk, new Jolly Rancher rides, and more during Sweet Splash Weekend!

5 | ZooAmerica!

You may already know that ZooAmerica is accessible via Hersheypark, and admission is included with your regular ticket. The North American wildlife park makes for a great break during your park visit, and it’s also open year-round! This is one of my son’s favorite spots, and with a season pass, we get unlimited ZooAmerica entry all year long. In fact, the animals are often more active in cooler months, so it’s a great winter activity, too!

6 | Pass Holder Discounts throughout Hershey

As a Hersheypark Season Pass holder, you also can save on Hersheypark 1-Day passes for your friends and family. Plus, access discounts at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts restaurants, bring a friend for $2 off at ZooAmerica, 15% off at Hersheypark Supply Co., and much more.

7 | Become an HP Insider

The Hersheypark app is available for everyone (download it here), but as a Season Pass holder, you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips. In addition to add-ons and upgrades from your palm, you’ll be able to find rides for little ones, which coaster has the shortest line, and get walking directions to anywhere in the Park that you want to go. We were able to breeze through the park and find everything we wanted to check out.

Get your Hersheypark Season Pass

Ultimately, if you’re planning to go to Hersheypark even just three times this year, a season pass pays for itself! Already have tickets for this year? You can upgrade your pass at an HPGO kiosk in the park!

There are three levels to choose from — Regular, King Size (which is loaded with even MORE perks), and Bite Size (which is like a snack-size version). Learn more and purchase online here.
