The show is part of Harrisburg University Presents new Emerging Artist Series, a two-fold project.
First, through partnerships with Wasserman Music and Rock Lititz, it takes a not-yet-on-the-map band, like Certainly So, and provides state-of-the-art rehearsal space over two or three days. This aims to help prepare new bands for life on the road, and Certainly So will learn the ins and outs — and realities — of the music business. A live show at Harrisburg University at XL Live caps the experience.
“Rock Lititz is designed to support immersive live shows, as teams are creating them. In partnership with Harrisburg University, we are excited to be able to extend that reach to support a whole new range of artists, while welcoming exciting up and coming talent to Central Pennsylvania.” Brent Dannen, General Manager of The Studios at Rock Lititz.
Second, Harrisburg University’s in-house video team is capturing the whole experience — from load-in at Rock Lititz to the live concert at XL — to create a documentary-style series to air on WHTM-TV abc27 in early April. The 22-minute episode will illustrate the stories and journeys behind these Emerging Artists and the rarely-seen behind-the-scenes look at the music entertainment industry.

About Certainly So
Hailing from Birmingham, AL, childhood friends Tanner Gray and Colby Wilson have been writing music together for over ten years. The pair have drawn inspiration from many genres and eras — from The Beatles and The Beach Boys to Vampire Weekend and John Mayer, to name a few. The music that comes from Gray and Wilson has always boasted blood harmonies as well as thoughtful, invoking lyrics.
About the Emerging Artist Series
Harrisburg University’s Director of Live Entertainment, Frank Schofield, developed the Emerging Artist Series in partnership with Rock Lititz and Wasserman Music, based out of Los Angeles, CA. The Emerging Artist Series is produced in partnership with WHTM-TV abc27, which will air the episode in early April 2023, as well as iHeart Media.
