Found Collab | Harrisburg
Found Collab is the newest home of Stash Vintage and The Midtown Dandy, Harrisburg’s powerhouse vintage duo. Earlier this year, they moved into a bigger space on S. 3rd St. in the SoMa neighborhood of downtown Harrisburg. With the expanded store, they also enhanced their offerings, including wonderful artisan pieces from local and other vetted, small makers, additional housewares, vinyl, and much more.
This is go-to for gifting, in my opinion. Need something cool to wear — you’ll find it here. Need a unique, one-of-a-kind gift? Without a doubt this is the spot.
I’ve been wearing Stash Vintage pieces since its inception, and when the two shops came together in SoMa a few years ago, I scored some beauties from The Midtown Dandy as well. I love scoring no-one-else-has-them pieces, and I love supporting these two badass business owners.

Little Black Dress | Camp Hill
Little Black Dress has become my go-to for updating my wardrobe each season. They are continually getting in new styles and brands — and I’ve come to love and trust some of their standards like Prana, Lysse, and Tyler Boe. These are quality pieces that last — so they’re on-trend but not trendy, meaning you can keep them for several seasons of wear (and likely, you’ll wear them a lot — I do).
No matter what stage of life I’m shopping for, Little Black Dress has the building blocks of my look. When I worked primarily from home, it was quality cozies that translated easily to errands and coffee meetings. When I started going to concerts (for work no less!), we added in many black and faux leather looks that elevated some of what I had. And as a busy mom, I’m a sucker for a comfy sweater dress or anything that still goes with sneakers! Generally, it’s my spot for wearable clothes that keep me looking put together and ready to tackle whatever comes my way.
Because I shop there a lot, Lisa, Krista, and Tyler all tend to know what I might go for — and you don’t have to be a regular for that kind of treatment! The best part of shopping locally (besides, of course supporting your community through these hardworking, largely women-owned businesses) is being able to talk with friendly staff who can help you find the perfect pieces – whether it’s event-specific or a new addition to your wardrobe.

Apricot Lane Boutique | Camp Hill
Next time you’re at Trader Joe’s, pop over to Apricot Lane Boutique first. Their wonderful staff is fantastic at helping you find the right clothes and accessories for your life.
Apricot Lane is interesting because while it is a franchise, each shop is operated independently by its local owner, and the stock is custom to the store. Here you will find trendier and less expensive pieces, but also some solid brands that will definitely have staying power in your closet.
I went in recently for a dress for an event, and Jillian (the owner) and Jade helped me select a handful of pieces to try based on the look I was going for. Because I’m like this, I did a mini fashion show for them, and I think the dress I selected was a unanimous decision (plus I also found an incredible jumpsuit for the holidays — someone better invite me to a party!).
Apricot Lane is also packed with fun accessories and is like “the” spot to shop for your sister.

The Plum Bottom | Harrisburg and Camp Hill
A long time ago I swore I’d no longer compromise on footwear (it’s SO important), so my go-to is Plum Bottom. With stores in Camp Hill (Neighbors and Smith) and Harrisburg (The Shoppes at Susquehanna), it’s easy to pop in and talk with someone about what you’re looking for and any issues or concerns you have (pro tip: you also can check out the Plum Bottom’s blog for lots of great tips for finding solutions to your shoe-wearing woes, whether it’s bunions or high arches). Plum Bottom also has its full inventory available online to shop!
These are not discount styles by any means, but Plum Bottom carries only high-quality shoes, heels, boots, etc. that will carry you pain-free through the seasons. I don’t have time to wear painful shoes that fall apart, and I know you don’t either.
I slowly started to build my better shoe collection with black patent leather knee-high boots (they’re waterproof! They’ll literally never go out of style!). I live in the woods, so both my summer and winter hiking boots are brands from Plum Bottom — and they’re lasting years. Sure, I also bought some pink boots last year (I couldn’t help myself) but I feel like they have some staying power too.

Like my clothing style, I appreciate a range of jewelry. Much of my earring and bracelet collection also comes from Stash, curated over many years. I also love buying from local makers, like Earrings by Dee, Fennec, and more (Shop HBG Flea and The Millworks to find many of these and more – for instance, LBD and Found sell Earrings by Dee).

My only advice about buying jewelry at Meeka? Wear it! Too often we hold on to expensive and sentimental items, saving them for special occasions or worrying they’ll be ruined. But if you’re going to invest in a piece of jewelry you love — wear it as often as you like!
