A Hersheypark season pass might sound like something reserved for families who spend every summer weekend in the park – but it doesn’t have to be.
Our schedules are full (so many camps!), summer moves fast, and we’re not frequent, all-day park people. Still, a season pass has become one of those things that makes sense year after year.
How We Use Our Hersheypark Season Pass
Instead of trying to get to the park every weekend, we’ve created a few fun traditions:
- Bo’s last day of school → our official start to summer. He has a half day, and I pick him up and off to the park we go!

- One late-summer Sunday → relaxed, no-pressure time in the park before school is back
From there, though, there are a few more we keep on the calendar:
- Fall visits to ZooAmerica (for a long time, this was Bo’s go-to)
- Hersheypark Halloween (we took the in-laws last year and they had a blast, too)
- Christmas Candylane to wrap up the year (a classic tradition)
That’s 5-7 visits easy – and that’s where the value really shows up.
