More places to hike, play, paddle, and get outside

More places to hike, play, paddle, and get outside: Pennsylvania is investing $81 million in 306 recreation and conservation projects – and this Middletown park is one of them.

I attended today’s announcement with Gov. Josh Shapiro and DCNR Secretary Cindy Dunn at Middletown’s former community pool site. A new $600,000 DCNR grant brings the state’s investment here to $1 million.

The plans include a creek overlook, an amphitheater, a playground with water features, and pavilions. Watch for a look at what’s coming.

Dunn shared a goal worth paying attention to: a park, trail, or green space within 10 minutes of every Pennsylvanian. More opportunities to get outside, close to home.

A little behind-the-scenes look at Ellie’s groomin

A little behind-the-scenes look at Ellie’s grooming appointment at Greenlin Pet Resorts. 🐾

From the bath and scrub to brushing, trimming, and all the finishing touches, there’s a lot that happens before the fresh-and-clean reveal.

Ellie may have had some thoughts about parts of the process, but she came home clean, soft, smelling great, and feeling herself.

Greenlin offers professional grooming for dogs and cats, whether your pet needs a bath, a full groom, or a little maintenance between appointments.

Here’s the vibe: Coffee first, then a stroll down Market Street for local shopping, pumpkin decorating, s’mores, and a stop for something to eat or drink. Add live music and a pop-up farmers market, and there’s your Saturday.

@downtown_camp_hill_association’sHarvest Hop returns Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.
